All of the advantages of our technologies would be meaningless if they were difficult or expensive to implement in real world battery systems.
Our technologies were designed from the start to be commercially viable. Scroll down to see how they are designed to integrate easily into any battery.
To integrate either of our technologies into your batteries, the only connections you need to
make are:
This is identical to the connections required by virtually every other balancing technology.
The only real difference is that our technologies use heavier gauge balancing wires because
we have higher balancing currents.
Our technologies are modular. A balancing module (PCB) can be configured to manage between 6 and 24 cells in series.
Our technologies are also scalable. Modules can be daisy-chained to balance batteries with any number of cells in series.
Our technologies are compatible with any battery chemistry (NMC, LFP, Na-ion, Li-S, etc.), any number of cells in series, any cell structure (cylindrical, pouch, prismatic) and any battery architecture.
Our balancing systems can be designed to support balancing currents from as low as 1A to as high as needed. You can have exactly as much balancing current as your battery requires to keep it balanced for its entire life.
Our balancing systems can be designed to work in any application and environment: Passenger EVs, commercial & industrial vehicles, industrial batteries, utility-scale energy storage, marine, eVTOL, etc.
True Balancing is roughly 1⁄3 the cost of any commercially available active balancing system, and Positive Balancing is about 1⁄8 the cost.
Both technologies consist of PCBs assembled with common, low-cost electronic components that are readily available from multiple sources. All components are available with industrial and automotive ratings.
For absolute lowest cost (and smallest PCB footprint) True Balancing can be implemented with a small ASIC and a tiny FPGA.
Most balancing systems have a “one size fits all” approach. Quite frequently, when you choose a balancing system you will need to modify the design of your battery pack to be compatible with the balancing system you chose.
We think this is an example of the tail wagging the dog.
If you integrate either of our technologies into your battery pack we will work with you to determine the unique requirements of your batteries, then we will fine tune our system to be optimized for your batteries to give them greatest possible capacity and longest possible life.
Our balancing systems can be assembled with common electronic assembly processes that are low-cost, high-speed and highly reliable.
